Today I would like to introduce you to a very special oil: argan oil from Morocco!
Since there are now so many products with argan oil (even cheap ones from the drugstore) and I have the feeling that almost every hair brand has a line with argan oil, I wasn't sure whether Voyanics also needs argan oil. But yes, argan oil - in its original and very best quality - is such a versatile and, above all, special oil that I don't want to withhold this miracle oil from all of us, despite the market being flooded with sometimes strange variants and additives.
Voyanics Argan Oil is a cold-pressed and unroasted oil and is obtained from the almonds of the Moroccan argan fruit. The mixture of nutrients and vitamins, including essential fatty acids (Omega 3 & 6), vitamin A and vitamin E makes it a true all-rounder for skin and hair!
Unroasted : This means that it has not been treated further and, above all, has a neutral smell, which we find particularly pleasant in daily care!
Cold Pressed : This is a process of extracting oil using a seed press. Since the raw materials are not exposed to heat, the natural effectiveness of the botanical extracts is protected, resulting in a higher nutrient content of the oil and therefore greater effectiveness.
Our cold-pressed and unroasted argan oil contains a high proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega 6 and omega 9) as well as provitamin A, carotene and vitamin E. Provitamin A is the plant precursor of vitamin A, which stimulates cell renewal. The high content of provitamin A even promotes hair growth and is said to prevent hair thinning.
Since our hair is also exposed to free radicals and UV radiation, argan oil is ideal for protecting it thanks to its high antioxidant content. Chemical treatments such as hair coloring or heat from blow-drying and other styling tools also dry out the hair - here too, argan oil with its high vitamin E content helps to moisturize the hair and prevent split ends and hair breakage.
Argan oil makes dull, dry and brittle hair look smooth and healthy again. It improves the elasticity of the hair and of course also ensures an incredibly beautiful shine!
The organic and vegan argan oil helps to moisturize hair and skin - that's why we named it "Head-to-Toe Allover Oil". The uses of this wonderful oil are almost endless. It gives the hair shine and suppleness. It helps the skin it helps store moisture and the daily repair process.
A true all-rounder for skin and hair. And therefore a good choice for a head-to-toe oil with many possible uses!
I will now tell you the exact application options as well as tips and tricks here:
For the hair: As a pre-conditioning treatment: Depending on the length of the hair, massage enough oil from the scalp to the tips into dry hair and distribute with a comb. Wait at least 20 minutes (but can also leave on overnight) and then wash it out as normal with shampoo and care and style as usual.
As a treatment before blow-drying: Distribute a tiny amount on the still damp hair ends and blow-dry/let it air dry and style as usual. For thin, fine hair, it is recommended to mix one or two drops of oil with a little water and distribute this emulsion through the ends of the hair.
As a styling product: Dry hair ends and tips or fly-aways can be soothed at any time with a small drop of argan oil. Simply use the flat of your hand to spread one or two drops of the oil in and on your hair and massage in well.
Argan oil for the skin: The nourishing ingredients of the argan fruit have a healing effect that works wonders for sensitive and dry skin and even acne-prone skin.
The highly concentrated, antioxidant effect of argan oil, caused by the high vitamin E and provitamin A content in the oil, protects the skin from free radicals (thus protecting us from premature aging).
The oil is said to have other positive effects: It is said to smooth and tighten the skin, help with skin problems such as neurodermatitis and also care for dry skin. Argan oil is also perfect as an oil for impure skin, as it is non-comedogenic, meaning it does not clog the pores, and reduces impurities thanks to its slightly anti-inflammatory effect.
Argan oil DIY face mask
Argan oil is perfect for a quick, homemade and regenerating face mask: Simply mix 2 tablespoons of natural yogurt with 1 tablespoon of honey and 3-4 drops of argan oil and then apply as a mask with a brush. After about 15 minutes, rinse thoroughly and care for it as usual - or massage a few more drops of argan oil onto your face. The natural yogurt content provides lactic acid bacteria that stimulate skin renewal. Honey heals due to its anti-inflammatory properties.
How is argan oil obtained?
The oil is obtained from the almonds (fruits) of the argan tree, which grows in southwestern Morocco. The argan tree can grow up to twelve meters high, but the fruits, which weigh around 30 kilograms, only produce around two kilograms of kernels per year - which in turn ONLY produce one liter of argan oil. So it's not just the origin that's special, the production is too! The oil is still extracted by hand and production is anything but easy. All of this is also reflected in the price - when we talk about virgin, cold-pressed and unroasted argan oil. Fortunately, it is very economical to use.
